You saw him on screen, and now you can read about the endearing Munna Bhai’s antics in a book. Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Om Books International have designed a book with the original screenplay of the blockbuster Lage Raho Munna Bhai.
“I picked Lage Raho… for the first book because it promotes Gandhigiri. I am planning to bring out screenplays of all my films — right from Parinda to Parineeta,” says Chopra.“The book will have dialects and pictures from the film. The 20 pages of pictures in the middle will be like an interval while reading the book. I also met Aamir Khan at Vinod’s office and even he expressed a keen desire to come up with a similar book for 3 Idiots,” says Ajay Mago of Om Books International.
Rajkumar Hirani, director of Lage Raho…, is looking forward to reading the book. “I’m glad that we are the first ones in Bollywood to come up with such a book,” he says.
The book, priced at Rs 295, comprises of 352 pages and will be launched on December 7 in Mumbai.
