Preeti Vyas, who is known for her children’s books, is back with yet another title. Her latest release, Your Turn Now (YTN), is a collection of stories that teach children to become better human beings. In keeping with the theme, the book’s launch on January 19 will be held with a fundraiser at The Vatsalya Foundation, an NGO that works towards the upliftment of underprivileged children.

“At the launch, there will be a reading from the book. A child reporter will interview the team who put the title together. The kids of The Vatsalya Foundation will also put on a dance performance and sing the YTN song,” says Vyas.

This is the 12th book from FunOKPlease’s publishing team. “We cater to curious little India. The books aim to help kids develop an understanding of the world around them,” he adds.

Apart from the short stories, this latest title features creative doodles by Shraddha Pimputkar. “It also has a section called Your Kindness Kit, which includes five cards, the YTN song and a calendar with ideas for round-the-year acts of kindness,” says Vyas.

This is the group’s first tie-up with an NGO. “The entry fee is Rs 500 per family, including refreshments and a free copy of the book. The proceeds will go directly to The Vatsalya Foundation, who will issue a receipt. Our goal is to raise Rs 50,000 for the foundation on that day,” says Vyas.
