As bright interiors welcome you aboard, there is a vibe to Buzz that motivates you to let your hair down. The restaurant-cum-lounge that was officially launched in Sector 17, Chandigarh, on Wednesday, promises many specialties for patrons.
The glass-front lounge brings in the concept of dining, wining and clubbing under one roof with its chic interiors and sumptuous multi-cuisine food. Interestingly, the bar’s ceiling is made of marbles with red light emitting in the background. The USP of the lounge, says Sorabh Siag, general manager, Buzz, is its spacious air-cooled deck that surrounds the place on all four sides. “The best thing is that the deck is a complete no-smoking zone, though a ‘smoking central’ in the lounge has been arranged for,” he says.
In food, Sorabh suggests revellers try their ‘buzz masala’ (the name of a cocktail and mocktail) and peanuts baked in chicken stock. Chef Shivnaveen Panwar, who has earlier worked in Girl in the Café, Sector 17, and Café Nomad, Sector 7, says, “You should try our tofu and vegetable imperial rolls, apple and walnut salad with ginger honey dressing and chicken and vegetarian burgers in starters and our special Lahori chicken tikka served with naan in Indian main course. Of course, we have the classic tiramisu for dessert-lovers,” he says. The cost of a meal for two (excluding alcohol and taxes) is R700 (approximately).
For those who want to let their hair down, Buzz’s resident DJ Amit Sodhi has a weeklong party schedule ready with Wednesdays reserved for the ladies and Saturdays for club nights that run from 8 pm to 2 am.
