One thing you love about Surat, your hometown.
Their love for food and me.
Your tweets mention your love for Candy Crush Saga. Are you guilty of bombarding people's Facebook timelines with requests?
No, but I do hijack people's phones and play the game. My addiction has led me to imagine people's faces as candies and burst the ones I don't like.
Is it easier or harder to get a break on the big screen for a TV actress in 2014?
I'm glad I broke the norm and people are now considering it, but it still isn't easy.
What has been the hardest stereotype to break in your career?
That skin sells more than skill.
A good thing about working in the TV industry.
It has taught me the basics of acting and how to work for countless hours.
The best thing about Ekta Kapoor.
Her genius mind.
What do you dislike about Bollywood?
The bias towards star kids and camps.
Four qualities you want in your man.
Intelligence, patience, humour and good taste.
The funniest prank you've played on someone.
While shooting in Jaipur, I fooled the assistant directors into applying SPF lip gloss which was actually a temporary lip plumper.
What is the biggest risk that you have taken?
Quitting 12th grade to begin acting.
Your closest friend in the industry.
My designer friend, Mehek Shetty.
What is your most annoying habit?
No matter how early I get dressed, I never reach on time. This gives me sleepless nights and I get an earful from my manager.
Your favourite summer read.
The Immortals of Meluha and Inferno.
If you could start a rumour about yourself, what would it be?
That I'm writing a book about the inside world of Bollywood.
Bollywood actors you are dying to work with.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkummar Rao and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Your ideal vacation would be…
Three months in Europe without a plan.
A Gujarati trait you have.
A big heart.
Share a crazy film-set memory with us.
While rehearsing for a scene on the sets of Bol Bachchan (2012), someone kept touching my hair from the side. I looked at the reflection in Ajay Devgn's glasses and saw a boy disguised as my hair stylist. He was not only dressed like her, but also had a wig on and had tennis balls stuffed in.
Your favourite street food.
