It’s in the way he speaks…

He is definitely a head turner. And though head turners are only supposed to melt your heart, this one also sweeps you off your feet with his modesty—a rarity in today’s world. He is definitely a head turner. And though head turners are only supposed to melt your heart, this one also sweeps you off your feet with his modesty—a rarity in today’s world. Meet actor Arhaan Behl, better known by his on-screen name Krishna in the TV serial Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya, which turned him into a star overnight.

In the serial, Arhaan speaks Hindi in an unmistakable Allahabadi accent, but the Rajasthan-born actor is very much a Punjabi since his mother belongs to Amritsar. “My mom is from Amritsar and we usually converse in Punjabi at home. In fact, I visit Punjab quite often and just love the place and its people. Even when I visit relatives after weeks, they welcome me as if I am meeting them after years. Be it Chandigarh or Hoshiarpur, I love every city of Punjab,” he says.

Currently seen in ZEE TV’s Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se in which Arhaan speaks Jodhpuri, it seems that working in soaps has definitely turned him into a multi-linguist. We ask him if he ever thought of doing a Punjabi film and he surprises us, saying, “Last year, I was in Punjab for more than half a month to shoot for a film called Desi Dude. But I quit the film when things didn’t work out, though the story had initially intrigued me.” He is a big fan of Punjabi films, he adds, saying he simply loved the 2012 film Carry on Jatta.

Apart from acting in TV serials, Arhaan is also anchoring TV show Fear Factor, aired on BIG RTL Thrill, a new channel. “I’ve been signed on for three seasons of Fear Factor. The American season has already been completed, and I will soon start shooting for the Russian leg,” he signs off.
