Are you a romantic or realist at heart?
I don’t think I’m romantic, but girls think otherwise. So, I’m realistically romantic.
An old-world style of romancing a lady that you like.
Just sitting with each other and not saying anything. No phones to interrupt you.
Marriage for you is…
A lifelong commitment.
Apart from reel life, do you enjoy experimenting with your looks in real life?
I’m pretty boring in real life. I have some 25 white, grey and black T-shirts and can easily have the same look for days.
Any regrets about leaving engineering for acting?
None. I think I should have left engineering five months before I actually did.
You want to take a selfie with?
A dating app you would like to try?
I would love to try Tinder but not under my own name.
And what would your bio on the app say?
The sexiest man on earth!
Would you rather be alone at home or alone at a party?
I prefer to be alone at home.
The most romantic dance form is...
That’ll have to be Tango.
Who would you want as your dance partner?
Lauren Gottlieb. She dances really well.
What are the prerequisites for a good relationship?
Compatability and being psychologically secure.
The sweetest thing a loved one has done for you.
My father has kept a copy of everything that has been printed about me in all these years, without even telling me.
A piece of advice that someone gave you before entering Bollywood.
My brother-in-law said: “Don’t take yourself too seriously”.
The worst thing about Bollywood is…
There’s a lot of room for mediocrity.
Do you feel Bollywood has changed over the years?
Yes and that’s why people like me are getting a chance to act.
If you had to choose between Delhi and Mumbai…
I would choose Delhi for food, for space, for movement, for relaxation and Mumbai for work.
If you had to go back to school...
I would actually beat myself up for studying so hard at that time. I should have enjoyed life a bit more.
The gadget that you are lusting after.
The classic Le Locle Régulateur watch from Tissot.
Success for you is...
Being excited! It is the closest you can get to happiness.
A fashion icon for you is...
Ranbir Kapoor. Among the women, I find Jacqueline very stylish.
The best thing about social media is…
You can connect as well as clarify things immediately.
Your favourite confidence boosters...?
A well-tailored suit, a nice perfume and a smart pair of shoes.
And your favourite app for pics is...
What’s your favourite food?
Aloo ke paranthe from the Moolchand flyover kiosk in Delhi.
