How does it feel to be a muse to some of the leading designers?
It’s an absolute privilege and very flattering.
What is more demanding, modelling or acting?
Each of them comes with its set of demands and challenges. As a model it is your highest responsibility to look after yourself and maintain a certain body type and make the garments come alive. While acting you have to unbecome and become a certain character.
Besides Fan (2016), is there any other Hindi film you wish you had chosen as your debut film?
Fan came to me at the right time in my life. It was a great platform. Working on your debut film with Shah Rukh Khan was a pretty damn amazing experience.
Whose fan have you yourself been?
I had worked with SRK at the age of 17 and was completely amazed at his work ethic. I became a bigger fan on the sets of our Pepsi TV commercial.
The best thing about working with SRK is...
You get to learn from him and feed off his energy. He works long hours without tiring. He loves his work and his passion is evident in all that he does.
If you had to work with one of the younger actors, who would you choose and why?
It’s a toss-up between Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. Ranveer has this crazy side to him that I love, whereas Ranbir’s seriousness is interesting.
What is your style sense like?
Comfort is a priority. Nothing loud or over-the-top for me in terms of colour, print or accessories.
An era of fashion that you consider to be the best.
I’ve never been one to follow fashion or trends. I live in my jeans.
Whose style sense do you admire?
Sonam Kapoor can carry different styles and is not shy to experiment.
Your favourite breakfast in bed is...
Waffles, whipped cream, strawberries and a strong cup of black coffee.
One thing about relationships that your mom advised you?
Think with your head and not your heart. Not that I ever took her advice.
Three things you look for in a date.
Tall, funny and smart.
What gets you in the mood for love?
An intelligent conversation.
Did you always want to be a rebel as you have lived life on your own terms?
I am a free spirit and I will continue to follow my heart. I stand by my decisions and I do not put up with people who are negative.
You would cheat on your diet for...
Your fitness fundas...
Nothing works better than eating every two hours. Also, workout for an hour at least every day.
Your strategy in a crisis...
Deal with it.
Your bio on Tinder would be...
Tinder is not my thing.
One relationship rule that you always follow?
Who knows what tomorrow has in store. So just be all-in, in the moment.
