Google’s business software, Google Apps, which has applications for document writing, collaboration, and text and video communications — all cloud-based — seems to be catching up on Microsoft’s Office suite.

Initially pitched at small businesses, even larger enterprisessuch as Swiss drug maker Hoffmann-La Roche, with over 80,000 employees, and the US Interior Department’ 90,000 employees have switched to Google Apps.
