Reliance Infrastructure on Monday posted a whopping over 78% jump in net profit at Rs. 728 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs. 408 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year (2011-12).
Total operating income of
the company stood at Rs. 5,296 crore against Rs. 6,160 crore in the year-ago period, Reliance Infrastructure said in a statement.
Reliance Infrastructure is present in engineering, procurement and construction, energy and infrastructure segments.
Shares of the company were trading down by 1.50% at Rs. 530.50 apiece on the BSE in the afternoon trade.
