Coffee chain Tata Starbucks on Thursday entered the National Capital Region with two outlets at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.

Tata Starbucks is a 50:50 joint venture between US-based Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages Ltd. It entered the Indian
market in October 2012 with the launch of three stores in Mumbai.

"The launch at Indira Gandhi International Airport is consistent with our commitment to work thoughtfully to open stores in locations where our customers want and expect us to be," said Avani Saglani Davda, chief executive officer, Tata Starbucks Ltd.

Of the two outlets at IGI Airport, one will come up at the domestic terminal while another will open at the international one.

Starbucks expects to launch its outlets at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport by the end of March 2013.
