So you fancy yourself as a speed demon on two wheels? So you look at the roads as your own personal race track, and have your family worried about your (and the general public’s) safety? So why don’t you transfer some of your adrenaline on to the race track?

How do you do it?
Here is how.

Every year, the Federation for Motor Sports Club of India organises motorcycle races. http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2012/8/31-08-12-biz-04.jpg

They are held on tracks in Sriperumbudur, off Chennai, and Chettipalayam, near Coimbatore — both in Tamil Nadu.

Which is probably why most people who have made it big in racing are from south India!

Bike modification, maintenance etc require big money, but a beginner need not worry. All s/he needs to do is get a racing licence from FMSCI, and then apply to any of the three bike companies involved: Honda, Yamaha and TVS.
