East India Hotels on Thursday posted 59.4% year-on-year rise in the net profit at
Rs. 45.3 crore from
Rs. 28.4 crore in the corresponding quarter recording previous year.
The growth was on account of better top line of the company and improved operational margins as against the
corresponding period.
The company's total income jumped to Rs. 313.8 crore during the quarter under review from Rs. 301.1 crore a year ago.
Shares of the company gained Rs. 0.9, or 1.01%, to settle at Rs. 89.7. The total volume of shares traded was 73,269 at the BSE.
