Reddy meets PM, says petrol price hike not discussed

Oil minister Jaipal Reddy on Friday said that he didn't discuss fuel hike during his meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and is not going to meet Sonia Gandhi on the issue, according to reports. Reddy's meeting with the Prime Minister amid the opposition's raised pitch about their
demand for a rollback of petrol price hike.

Reddy came back from Turkmenistan on Thursday night and met the Prime Minister.

The meeting comes after the fuel price hike of Rs. 7.54 a litre on Wednesday midnight.

Reddy left for Turkmenistan on his official visit on May 22 and a day later oil firms raised prices by Rs. 7.54 a litre in Delhi.
