Amid renewed government efforts to accelerate economic growth, the Damodaran panel that is looking into ways to improve the country's overall business climate is expected to submit its report by end of March, an official said.
The committee, headed by capital market regulator
SEBI's former chief M Damodaran, includes corporate leaders and government officials.
Well known businessmen and industrialists such as Anand Mahindra, Kumar Mangalam Birla and YC Deveshwar, besides senior government officials are part of the panel.
A raft of topics, including infrastructure development and regulatory issues, have been deliberated upon by the committee during its meetings. The first meeting was held on October 11.
State Bank of India chairman Pratip Chaudhuri, NTPC chairman Arup Roy Choudhury, BHEL chairman B P Rao, Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra, Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, ITC chairman Y C Deveshwar and Tata Sons director Ishaant Hussain, are among 25 members of the panel.
