Arun Tadanki, managing director for Yahoo India and South East Asia, has quit the company "to explore new opportunities in the Internet space." He will, however, stay on with the firm till June 2013 to ensure a smooth transition. The Internet company is still to name Tadanki's successor.

"I truly enjoyed my stay at Yahoo. Having worked for 11 years in CEO roles for Asia Pacific and emerging markets at multinational Internet companies, I am looking forward to playing a very different role within the Internet ecosystem beyond our region," Tadanki said in a statement.

Tadanki joined Yahoo India as managing director in May 2009.
