GlaxoSmithKline declares results, net sales up 17%  Mumbai, November 06, 2013

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (GSKCH) on Wednesday declared its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2013. Net sales at Rs. 972 recorded a growth of 17% over 2012.

Profit Before Tax at Rs. 224 crores grew by 18% for the same period and Profit After Tax at Rs. 147 crores grew by 14%.

Commenting on the Company’s performance, Mr. Zubair Ahmed, MD, GSK Consumer Healthcare India, said, “We are delighted to deliver yet another quarter of profitable growth against the backdrop of slow down being seen across most FMCG categories. We continue to strengthen our performance through innovation, high science and strong consumer connect. Horlicks in India has grown by 16% in Q3, the company announced. Sales of Boost energy drink are up by 19% in Q3 and Boost Choco Nut has been launched in July 2013.
