Even the restructuring at HP that resulted in job losses around the world has had no impact in India and the company did not slash any job in the country.

“I think prior to my joining…we kind of talked marketing dollars and we loaded it up on a machine and we spent it fairly evenly around,” Dion Weisler, head, Asia-Pacific and Japan, told HT. “What I am doing now, is that I am assuring those dollars on China and on IndiaWeisler heads the Printing and Personal Systems (PPS) division of HP in the region.”

The company is also looking to capture a considerable market size in printers and PCs in India to grow faster than the industry average.
