Jubilant FoodWorks, operator of Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts, went 5% up in net profit

Jubilant FoodWorks that operates the Domino’s Pizza chain and Dunkin’ Donuts in India on Friday posted a 5% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs. 34 crore for the April-June first quarter.

Net sales during the quarter stood at Rs. 396.5 crore, up by 26% compared with the same period of last fiscal.       

“In Q1 FY14, we have continued to execute well on all our key areas such as brand development, menu innovation, and geographic growth, whilst successfully balancing solid cost discipline at all operational levels,” said Shyam S Bhartia, chairman and Hari S Bhartia, co-chairman, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited.

Jubilant FoodWorks will open 125 Domino’s Pizza and 18 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants during the current financial year.
