Munna Murga tops TAM charts

Munna Murga, the chicken that tells people about hygiene, is among the top new brands introduced this year on Indian television. Incidentally, it is the only government advertisement to find place among the top new brands. Produced by National Rural Health Mission (NHRM), the Munna Murga advertisement on television was ranked by Adex India, a unit of TAM media research, as the most educating and liked by people, among the government advertisements.

TAM ranked the 10 best new brands on television this year. Another TAM study found that although NHRM has a 28 per cent visibility among government advertisements, the expenditure was only about 12 per cent. National AIDS Control Organsiation (NACO) and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan were second with a 12 per cent share.
