Ready-to-move-in the selling mantra in NCR

You may not have to wait for 36 months to move into your abode as a few developers are promising ready possession of houses, some with a freebie or discount thrown in.

Ansal Buildwell is offering ready-to-move-in 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments in Gurgaon with 5-20 per cent off on down payment, for a limited period. It’s promising possession of apartments within a month: you pay the amount within 30 days and get the keys to the house, pronto.

The company has 60 such units – of about 1,100 to 1,600 sq.ft. – available in Sushant Lok II and III, said K.K. Tripathi, additional vice president (sales and marketing). The apartments are priced at Rs. 60-82 lakh.

Similarly, BPTP has an “attractive offer” on its ready-to-move-in projects in Faridabad and Gurgaon. It’s dangling a gold coin on spot purchase of every house during a 3-day property carnival, which started on Friday. Though its advertisement spoke of a discount scheme, an official insisted there’s none except the yellow metal worth about Rs. 16,000.

Eros Group, too, is selling 3- and 4-bedroom luxury apartments ready for possession in Sector 49-50, Gurgaon and 2- and 4-bedroom luxury units in Surajkund. Eros has put up some of the 300 houses in the two projects, which it couldn’t sell initially, for ready possession.

The company, however, is not giving any concession or freebies, said M L Ticku, president (projects). When launched, the price of the apartments was 15-20 per cent lower than now, he said. “He (buyer) is not losing anything. He’s buying at the current market price.”
