Shivinder, Akhilesh among WEF young leaders

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has named 11 Indians, including UP's chief minister Akhilesh Singh Yadav, Fortis Healthcare's executive vice-chairman Shivinder Mohan Singh and CEO of Goldman Sachs Services, Bunty Bohra, in its annual list of Young Global Leaders (YGL) for 2013.


This time too, India has scored above China in terms of total presence in the list of 199 individuals from across the world. There are as many as 10 Chinese on the list against the 11 from India. The list also includes four names from Pakistan.

Other Indians on the list of YGL are rural entrepreneurs Zubaida Bai and Ajay Chaturvedi, management consultant Vaishali Rastogi, computer scientist Pranav Mistry, Pooja Warier, technology executive Amit Mehra, social entrepreneur Arunabha Ghosh and economist Roopa Purushothaman.
