Wipro opens new centre in US for global customer care

IT services major Wipro on Thursday said it has launched a global Customer Experience Centre (CEC) at its Mountain View office in California.

India's third largest IT services firm also announced expansion of its strategic partnership with CA Technologies to jointly deliver next generation DevOps solutions for testing.

The CEC in California is designed to demonstrate emerging technologies, test proof of concepts and give customers the opportunity to see the latest data centre, enterprise and cloud solutions in real-world, real-time scenarios, Wipro said in a statement.

The Bangalore-headquartered firm added the lab leverages Cisco's UCS scale out infrastructure for SAP Hana platform, Common Platform Architecture for Big Data, and Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).

The global CEC was inaugurated by Wipro Chairman Azim Premji and Cisco President (Development and Sales) Robert Lloyd. It is the third Innovation lab to be opened in association with Cisco.

Wipro on Thursday also announced expanding its strategic partnership with software solutions firm CA Technologies to jointly deliver next generation DevOps solutions for testing.

It will enable Wipro to leverage the expanded portfolio of CA Technologies, including service virtualisation, release automation/continuous delivery, continuous validation and continuous monitoring solutions to help customers optimise their application development and delivery processes with a DevOps strategy, Wipro said.
