India's attempt to create millions of jobs has been stymied by huge delays in the execution of vital infrastructure projects to build ports, roads, highways and airports.

The nation needs an estiamted Rs. 55 lakh crore ($1 trillion) ovr the next five years to build the engines of
the economy.
