The finance minister has made a provision of Rs 35,000 crore through sale of 3G spectrum in 2010-2011. The auction will take place on April 9.
“The auction process would be complete and the revenue would be realised in the first quarter of the next fiscal,” said an official of the department of telecommunications (DoT). “Therefore, the finance ministry has provisioned for it in the budget 2010-2011.”
Reserve price for pan India spectrum is Rs 3,500 crore and in most of the states three slots would be offered for auctioning.
