After launching Sprite's online campaign, softdrinks major Coca-Cola is looking at leveraging the power of mobiles and the Internet to promote its brands like Limca and Fanta.
Company officials said they are working on plans to go beyond the conventional advertising medium, including launching its own portal with activities like gaming. "We constantly keep innovating on the various ways to reach to the customers.
Digital space, which includes the mobile and the Internet platform, has a huge potential and we plan to leverage the medium in gaining more young consumers," Coca-Cola India General Manager (Flavours) Srinivas Murthy told PTI.
The company, which launched an online campaign for the first time for its Sprite brand, said it will soon extend the initiative to its other softdrink brands like Limca and Fanta. Recently, Coca-Cola also launched 3D animation commercials to promote Limca. Besides, it has used the mobile platform for Sprite in addition to the online campaign.
"India has over 60 million Internet users and most of them are young. So getting onto the online space will accelerate our reach and growth," Murthy said. A company official said it is also planning to launch its own web portal and tying up with other sites to leverage the digital medium.
