French air-carrier Air France has introduced a new flight class, dubbed Premium Voyager, as part of its ongoing innovation efforts.
Premium Voyager passengers will be seated in an intermediary cabin, positioned between Voyager (business) and economy cabins.
The new Premium Voyager class has been launched for the airline's Mumbai-Paris flights from today, a press release issued here said.
The airline plans to introduce the Premium Voyager cabin class on its Bengaluru-Paris flight as well, from August 17 this year.
Presently, the Premium Voyager cabin is available to 22 destinations and by the end of 2010, the airline plans to make it available across 58 destinations.
The new intermediary cabin available on long-haul flights is equipped with fixed-shell seats specially designed for Air France, it said, adding that it offers passengers a very high level of comfort at very competitive fares.
The class provides for a 40 per cent additional space compared to the economy class, with an average of 22 Premium Voyager seats available over a surface area which used to occupy 40 economy seats, the release said.
