Anil Ambani-led Reliance Broadcast Network on Wednesday announced the launch of its first premium English general entertainment TV channel--Big CBS Prime-- in November.
"Big CBS Networks Pvt Ltd, the joint venture between Reliance Broadcast Network and US-based CBS Studios International will launch Big CBS Prime, the premium English general entertainment channel in November from its three channel bouquet," Reliance Broadcast Network's CEO, Tarun Katial, told reporters in Mumbai.
The channel will draw from CBS' vast program library, which contains over 70,000-hours of content, with shows including some of the latest US sensations such as "The Defenders" and "Blue Bloods" and fresh seasons of "NCIS", "Survivor", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "Rachael Ray", "Judge Judy", "Frasier", "The Insider" and "Entertainment Tonight."
Big CBS Prime will bring the latest, hottest, freshest shows almost concurrent to the US for the Indian viewers, Katial said.
The company hopes to launch Big CBS Spark in December and Big CBS Love in February 2011, Big CBS Networks Business Head, Aparnaa Pande said.
