A poll conducted by Hindustan Times in partnership with NDTV suggests that a majority of people never invest in the market in line with budget announcements.
Forty-two per cent participants said they never make their investment decisions based on budget announcements, while 20.7% said they always do so and 37.3% said they do it sometimes.
A important aspect highlighted by the poll is that the majority agreed that change in taxes affects them the most as it directly impacts their expendable income, followed by benefits on home loan and investments. 54% said that change in taxes affects them the most while 37% said that benefits on home loan and investments affects them the most.
A majority of 54% also said that budget should address the burning issue of corruption this time.
