The government will allocate 3,000 metric tonnes more sugar to the state from next month.
"We were getting 9,500 metric tonnes sugar monthly under the PDS and now we will get 3,000 metric tonnes more," Madhya Pradesh Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Managing Director K C Gupta said on Thursday.
He said the stock will be disbursed under the Public Distribution System at Rs 13.50 per kg.
Madhya Pradesh had been pressing the Centre to enhance the sugar quota to the state.
