In a bid to strengthen its non-carbonated product portfolio, and play catch-up with rivals PepsiCo, Coca-Cola India is constantly looking at expanding its non-carbonated product portfolio.
Stepping up action, the beverage maker has launched Nestea, an ice-tea, besides already having launched in the last one year four products from under the still beverages category.
“Still beverages are going to be bigger and bigger in our plan and in the near future our investment figures for both categories are going to be similar. Non carbonated beverages are the new focus and we are expecting urbane cities to drive the consumption for this category,” said Ricardo Fort, vice president marketing, Coca-Cola India. Coca Cola and Nestle entered a global joint agreement in 2001.
