Amidst the ongoing fiasco over Reliance Power ’s Dadri power project in Uttar Pradesh, the company said its first power project in the state — Rosa — will be ready to deliver 300 megawatts of power by the end of this month.
“The stage-I of our 600-mw Rosa project will be commissioned by the end of December 2009,” a senior company official said. “The unit is being commissioned four months ahead of schedule and the entire power produced by it will be supplied to the state.”
To be set up with an investment of Rs 6,000 crore, the Rosa power project is the largest private sector investment in UP, the official said.
“Construction work on Stage II of Rosa is also in full swing, and the entire 600 MW will be available by March 2012.”
