Entertainment production and distribution firm DQ Entertainment (International) will sign licensing deals with two major broadcasters to distribute animated content in Asia, a top official said on Wednesday.

"I can't disclose the names, but two more major licensing deals are happening putting many of our properties together and these would be in India and South East Asia," chief executive Tapaas Chakravarti said.

The firm went public in March and raised 1.28 billion rupees on its BSE debut.

"Some very good deals are happening to unlock properties which are with us for about 3-4 years, but these are mostly international properties," he added.

The company, which had signed a deal with Sun TV Network in June for 117 half-hour animated programmes, also plans to double its current library of about 500 hours of content over the next one year, Chakravarti said.
