India's food price index rose an annual 16.04 per cent in the 12 months to April 24, while the fuel price index rose an annual 12.69 per cent, government data showed on Thursday.
The rise in food price index was slower than an annual rise of 16.61 per cent in the previous week.
The primary articles index was up 13.93 per cent year-on-year on April 24.
