Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said in New Delhi on Friday that so far foreign capital flows are well within the absorptive capacity of the economy and there is nothing to be worried about.
"There has been a significant increase in foreign institutional investment (FII) inflows even as there has been some moderation in FDI flows. This can change at short notice, and we’ve to be alert and monitor the developments constantly," he said, while addressing the annual session of PHD Chamber.
The minister also said the government has been grappling with domestic supply side pressures on food prices for the past several months.
"We recovered our growth momentum from the impact of the global financial crisis, but we can't be complacent and aim towards a double-digit growth on a sustainable basis," Mukherjee said.
