Hindustan Media Ventures (HMVL) Tuesday reported a 27% increase in profit after tax (PAT) to Rs. 36.6 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014.
HMVL had a PAT of Rs. 28.8 crore in the same period a year ago. HMVL’s total revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2014, grew by 12% to `223 crore, against Rs 199 crore in the same period of the previous year.
Commenting on the result, HMVL chairperson Shobhana Bhartia said: “After establishing ourselves as a strong player in UP and Uttarakhand while retaining our dominance in Bihar and Jharkhand, we are now focussing on operational efficiencies to ensure revenue growth is also accompanied by profit growth.”
