Bullish on the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), HT Media PrintWorks has embarked on an initiative of educating the SMEs of leveraging print media through reasonable spending.
With over 35 million SMEs in India, the group is looking to invest in efforts to maximise its reach and educate the Indian SMEs to gain from the benefits of print advertising.
“Most small businesses still need some handholding to get them started and initiatives like this are a step in that direction where we are offering the clients a chance to renew their deals on the old prices which are discounted by over 50-60% of the otherwise rates,” said Nitin Chaudhary, vice-president, media marketing, HT Media Ltd.
The facility of payment in installments is also provided considering the budget concerns of the small businesses. “We encourage them to invest according to the earnings they derive from the business. We make sure we explain to them why a certain requirement is important for their kind of business,” he said.
The focus of the initiative is the consistent exposure of a product (by SMEs) in front of customers through print advertisement, irrespective of the season or budget constraints, which can help them in brand creation.
“Selling yearly packages at hugely lucrative rates will give the businesses are long term vision and moreover, it will help us in utilising the free inventory and earn additional revenues,” Chaudhary said.
