Hindustan Times Media reported a 44 per cent in net profit at Rs 41.37 crore crore for the quarter-ending June 30, 2010 as compared to the same period last year on the back of greater volume growth and higher advertising and circulation revenues.

Total revenues during the quarter increased by 20 per cent at Rs 404.21 crore as compared with Rs 336.61 crore last year.

“We are encouraged by a strong start to the financial year 2010-11,” Shobhana Bhartia, Chairperson and Editorial Director, HT Media, said. “Our revenues have grown on the back of expanding readership base, strong product innovation and visible improvement in the advertising environment.”
