HT Media Limited on Tuesday announced a 22% growth in total revenue for the fourth quarter ended March at Rs 470 crore, while net profit recorded a 12% growth at Rs 52.9 crore.
For the year-ending March 31, 2010, consolidated revenues stood at Rs 1,786 crore — a growth of 24.1% as compared to Rs 1439 crore during 2009-10.
Net profit during the year stood at Rs 180.9 crore as compared to Rs 135.9 crore in 2009-10 — up 33.1%.
Traction in advertising revenues and robust contribution from the radio business has augmented profitability.
Commenting on the performance for fourth quarter and financial year 2010-11, Shobhana Bhartia, chairperson and editorial director, HT Media, said: “The just concluded year under review has been one of all round growth. The results of the recent IRS data are a reflection of the impressive growth in our readership across our English, Hindi and business dailies. A robust economy has also contributed to a healthy growth in advertisement revenues.”
The board has also recommended a dividend of 18%.
