Pesticide manufacturing company Insecticides India Ltd (IIL) on Wednesday said it has registered a 13 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 6.42 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2010.
In comparison, the firm had earned a net profit of Rs 5.69 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
For the 2009-10 fiscal, the company's net profit increased by 36 per cent to Rs 28.22 crore.
It had registered a net profit of Rs 20.79 crore for the financial year 2008-09.
"I am pleased to say that we have delivered a strong performance in FY'10 and am very excited about the quarters ahead. I expect our positive momentum to continue," IIL MD Rajesh Agarwal said in a statement issued by the firm.
The company's total income for FY'10 also increased by 35 per cent to Rs 396.87 crore.
Its total income for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal too rose by 28 per cent to Rs 69.71 crore as against
the corresponding period a year ago.
