IT and consulting services giant accenture is setting up its biggest global media and entertainment innovation centre in India, its global managing director Marco Vernocchi told Hindustan Times on Monday. He said it will be larger than the ones in US and Italy, the other two such centres.
The innovation centre will have infrastructure in Bangalore and marketing and client facilities in Mumbai. “The centre will go full scale in 2010. It will be our most advanced media and entertainment innovation centre, with the newest and latest technologies,” he said.
Declining to divulge investment details, Vernocchi said instead: “After a lot of analysis, we’re convinced India is the right market for us to set up our largest media and entertainment innovation centre in. India is going to be the most innovative country in this space... and will grow in digital media. If we are investing here, we are also investing in the Indian market, so big is its potential as we see it.”
