KKR India Advisors,on Tuesday said that it has appointed Heramb Hajarnavis as Director.
He will be based in Mumbai and joins KKR from Goldman Sachs where he served as Managing Director, Principal Investment Area for India.
In his new role, Hajarnavis will work closely with Sanjay Nayar, Member of KKR and CEO of KKR India, to grow KKR's private equity business in India, a press release issued here stated.
"Heramb brings to KKR the global expertise and local experience that we provide to support portfolio companies in India and across the world," Nayar said.
"Having worked across North America, south-east Asia and India, Heramb's extensive knowledge of finance and private equity functions will strengthen KKR’s operations in India," he added.
Hajarnavis started his career at Goldman Sachs and served in leadership positions across various locations.
Moving to Goldman Sachs in India, he played an important role in identifying investment opportunities and driving the strategic growth of the Principal Investment Area business that he led.
In between his stints at Goldman Sachs, Hajarnavis also served in a senior management position at Centennial Communications, a NASDAQ-listed private equity-led portfolio company.
