Korean software firm head commits suicide

A 40 year-old Korean, head of a software firm, based in the city allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Chennai, police said on Friday.

A 40 year-old Korean, head of a software firm, based in the city allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Chennai, police said on Friday.

According to police, Ryu Byeong Sang, a native of Ulsan city in South Korea, was the Managing Director of Auto Ever Systems, which supplied software to automajor Hyundai, for both their corporate office in the city and manufacturing unit in Sriperumbudur.

Sang had been residing in an apartment in the city. He was found hanging from the ceiling of his house by his wife on her return from a prayer meeting on Thursday.

The body had been flown to Korea after a post-mortem at the Government Royapettah Hospital.

Police said the deceased could have taken the extreme step due to stress.
