Lowe India's national creative director R Balakrishnan has been promoted as chairman and CEO. The agency, which is part of Lintas India, has announced a new management structure.

Speaking with the Hindustan Times, Balakrishnan said, “I cannot share figures (on Lowe’s performance), but we have exceeded all our internal targets and have been doing very well.”

On his new role, Balki said, “I will be heading the agency as I don the new role. CEO Charles Cadell and chief strategy officer Brent Gosling will assist me and work with me closely.”

Cadell joins Lowe from Leo Burnett. Prem Mehta would continue as chairman of the Lintas group. Pranesh Misra, president and COO of Lowe since 2004, would be global director of marketing accountability. Misra has been with Lowe since 1977.

Ashish Bhasin is regional director of integrated marketing, Lynn D’Souza (director, media services), chief strategy officer Gosling and Fali Vakeel the new chief talent officer.
