Luxor, the market leader in writing instruments, has come up with lifestyle products - like women's wear, home and fashion accessories - with the aim of providing affordable luxury to its customers.
"The whole idea of this concept is to give you products that are affordable and have a stamp of uniqueness and detailed craftsmanship," Priya Jain, director of Luxor group, said in an interview.
The company will sell the new "Luxor luxury collection" from its office at Okhla Industrial Estate phase-III.
"Even though these items are in the price bracket of Rs.600-Rs.140,000. I still call it affordable," she added.
"Let's say you select a certain item from here for a particular price, if you go in the market and ask for the same item, it would surely cost you a few thousand rupees more."
The store offers a variety of women's wear, home and fashion accessories, leather products, kids wear and other products.
"I wanted this place to be a one-stop-shop for everything. Our product line is vast and our versatility is our USP. Everything that a high-end customer is looking for, they will get here," she said.
Jain has plans to start retailing soon.
"We have bigger expansion plans in the pipeline. Very soon we will start retailing and our main focus will be the national capital region (NCR)," she said.
Is the brand name Luxor an added advantage for this new venture?
"Undoubtedly yes! Our products don't need any other approval. Luxor itself means luxury and we don't have to prove our credibility in the market. We are already a well established brand," Jain said.
Talking about the company's future plans, she said: "We are also planning to branch into men's fashion. Apart from that we will also make furniture and something related to beauty products as well."
