Nepal has slashed the rates of cooking gas (LPG), petrol, diesel and kerosene to adjust the prices of international market.
The price cut was effective from Friday night.
The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has fixed the petrol price at 80.50 Nepali rupees (approximately USD 1)per liter by reducing 5 rupees and diesel and kerosene price at 59.50 rupees (approx USD 0. 78) per liter after slashing 1 rupee, according to officials.
Similarly, the government has fixed the price of per Liquefied Petroleum Gas cylinder at 1,150 rupees (USD 15.13) by slashing 50 rupees for Kathmandu, while 1,130 rupees have been fixed as a price of each LPG cylinder in the Terai districts.
The NOC has fixed the aviation fuel price at USD 1,000 per kiloliter by reducing USD 200 from the prevailing international price at USD 1,200 per kiloliter.
For domestic flight, the aviation fuel price has been fixed at 85 rupees (USD 1.128) per liter after reducing 5 rupees.
