Paras Pharma, which has carved a unique position for itself in the highly competitive over-the-counter medicines and personal care products is now consolidating its hold by extending its current brands to new products.
“We will be launching one product every two months till the next 18 months,” said S Raghunandan, CEO, Paras Pharma. A spunky player in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), Paras has thrived on products such as Livon, which helps smoothen tangled hair, Recova, an anti-ageing cream and pain reliever Moov.
Next month, it will launch a post wash hair conditioner under the Livon brand extending the hair serum. The company will market it under the Livon brand as its Livon hair serum. But now, it will face established products made by brands like Dove and Pantene.
“We will harness the brand equity of Livon which has established itself under the post wash hair serum category. Most FMCG companies looked at shampoos and conditioners but no one thought of a hair serum to detangle the tangled hair,” Raghunandan said.
