The rupee on Monday fell 41 paise to an all-time closing low of 59.68 vs the US dollar on month-end dollar demand from oil importers and FII outflows.

The rupee had touched an all-time low of 59.98 in intra-day trade on June 20 before closing at 59.57 against dollar.

Gold also fell Rs. 320 to Rs. 27,320 per 10 grams — its lowest level in around three-weeks — on heavy selling.
