business Updated: Feb 09, 2011 16:58 IST

Led by Reliance Infrastructure, all the Anil Ambani Group stocks, on Wednesday fell sharply by up to 25.14% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), amid a bearish broader market sentiment.

Reliance Infrastructure, the top loser among the bluechip stocks till late afternoon-session, plummeted by up to 25.14% on the BSE, touching its 52-week low of Rs 492.85.

Another heavyweight, Reliance Communications, too slumped by 17.97% to a record low of Rs 90.80.

According to market observers, the slump in these stocks is due to panic-selling by the edgy investors.

Further, Reliance Capital, Reliance MediaWorks, Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd and Reliance Power too were trading under pressure, falling 14.88%, 17.92%, 9.62% and 10.18%, respectively on the bourse.

Meanwhile, the BSE 30-share barometer index Sensex was trading at 17,551.33, down by 224.37 points at 15:06 hrs.
