business Updated: Mar 16, 2011 21:46 IST

Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) has launched a programme to distribute energy-efficient electrical appliances and gadgets to its consumers at discounted rates under its campaign - 'Change for Mumbai'.

Under the campaign, RInfra will be distributing 5-star split air-conditioners and ceiling fans to consumers in its licensed distribution area, a press release issued here today said.

Presently, the company is carrying out the project on a pilot basis in Goregaon (west) and Kandivali (west).

RInfra has tied-up with LG, Havells and Osram for providing 5-star split air-conditioners, 5-star ceiling fans and T5 energy efficient tube lights, respectively.

"We are confident that this programme would help our consumers in bringing their power bills down. RInfra would explore all the possibilities to bring world-class quality products at cheaper rates for its consumers," the company spokesperson said.
