Mahindra Satyam on Monday said it has sought permission from the Company Law Board (CLB) till September 30 to submit the various documents required by the statutory authorities.
"The company has applied to the CLB seeking an order to extend the time for filing all the required documents to September 30, 2010," Satyam said in a filing to the BSE.
The company has also sought exemption from publishing the quarterly results from the December 2008 quarter to the March 2010 quarter.
The software firm had got an extension till December 31, 2009 from the CLB to make the necessary filings of returns and documents as required under applicable laws, including the quarterly results. The CLB, in a October 15, 2009 order had extended the deadline to June 30, 2010 for filing of all the documents, including the financial statements for financial years 2008 and 2009 and the quarterly financial reports as required under the listing agreements with the bourses.
Satyam has also sought permission to publish the June 2010 quarterly numbers with the September quarter results.
Satyam, which has been renamed as Mahindra Satyam after its takeover by Tech Mahindra, came under the scanner when its founder chairman B Ramalinga Raju confessed to cooking the company's books in early January 2009. The scam, the biggest in the country's corporate history, is estimated to be over Rs 10,000 crore.
